In this one-day class you'll learn about a exciting new product, Silver Etch as well as the basics of working with silver clay.   SilverEtch was developed by Larissa Johnson.  You can be one of the first in the UK to explore this exciting new product.

Silver Etch is a brand new product, which allows you to imprint a pattern onto your silver, prior to firing.  The transfer sheets are easy to use, and leave a perfect "etched" pattern on the surface of the silver (not like a texture sheet which leaves a deep imprint). Once fired, the silver appears oxidised, almost as if it has had a patina applied to it. It is easy to work with, completely harmless and non-toxic - and fun. The results are long-lasting, and can safely be burnished, tumbled, and polished!

This class is ideal even if you have no previous knowledge of the material. Your tutor will go through the basics in working with metal clay, including shaping, forming, as well as firing and finishing options.
