Important Additional Info
During the day, you will be shown how to mix the GlasClay powder, shape it, texture it, mould it, set stones, etc. You will also learn various drying, refining and finishing techniques. Some items can be fired on the day although this may depend on the items made. We will discuss firing techniques and supply information for you to take home and you can choose to either leave your pieces with us to fire and send onto you or you may take them home with you to be fired. You will be given a minimum of 30g of clay, use of all tools, moulds etc.
You may want to bring an apron and pen & paper to take notes. You may also want to bring a packed lunch to eat in the studio or there are pubs, shops and a bakery a few minutes drive away. We do try and keep a Nut Free environment so we would appreciate it if you would please refrain from bringing any products containing nuts.
Once you have booked onto a workshop or course we will process your booking and send you an invoice with a receipt of payment, a letter confirming your booking and details of the event and if this is your first booking with us - a Workshop Loyalty Card.
We schedule about an hour for lunch and a break for refreshments. On the Contact Us page of our website you will find our full address, a map and directions to us.
All our courses and workshops are taught by qualified & experienced teachers and we deliberately keep them small (about 6 per class) to ensure individual attention.
The cost of the course includes a minimum of 30g of GlasClay, use of all tools needed as well as refreshments. You will also have the opportunity to purchase more GlasClay, our own discounted Toolkits and other materials & equipment to take home.
